We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our growing team in a regional role serving clients throughout the Milwaukee and Chicago areas.

Position Overview

This is a full-time regional position focused on mechanical systems design, client collaboration, and project leadership. The role offers a flexible work structure with an expectation of one in-office collaboration day every other month. Outside of that, work location is flexible - remote or in-office as you work best. Required travel to project sites and client meetings to support our projects is a must.

The ideal candidate is a motivated professional who enjoys both technical problem solving and building strong relationships with clients, and project teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design for HVAC, and building systems projects
• Manage projects from concept through construction administration
• Coordinate with architects, owners, contractors, and internal engineering teams
• Perform site visits, field investigations, and client meetings throughout the region
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team development
• Prepare construction documents, calculations, specifications, and reports
• Prepare technical reports to support consulting projects including energy analysis, decarbonization, property condition assessments and expert witness work
• Support business development efforts and maintain client relationships
• Ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within budget

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 8+ years of relevant consulting engineering experience
• PE license preferred (or ability to obtain)
• Strong knowledge of building mechanical systems and applicable codes
• Experience managing projects and coordinating multidisciplinary teams
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills
• Ability to travel to regional job sites as needed
