TRACY BOX
Sales Manager / Landquist & Son
Tracy Box serves as the current Sales Manager at Landquist & Son, a US-based, family-owned manufacturer of durable bifold, pivot, and bypass closet door systems for the multifamily industry. Being part of a three-generation business—founded by her grandfather and now led by her father— has shaped not only Tracy's career, but her perspective on relationships, craftsmanship, and long-term commitment in the industry. Through her work in the closet door manufacturing space, Tracy collaborates closely with architects, developers, and contractors to ensure that even the most overlooked elements—like interior closet door systems—are executed with precision and purpose. Tracy takes pride in being a reliable partner on projects, helping teams navigate challenges, meet code requirements, and ultimately bring their vision to life without compromising performance or aesthetics.
Throughout her career, Tracy has had the opportunity to contribute to a wide range of multifamily projects, where attention to detail and proactive problem-solving are critical. Whether addressing field conditions that impact design feasibility or developing creative solutions to meet ADA and ventilation requirements, Tracy enjoys being deeply involved in the realities of a project—working through constraints and turning them into opportunities for better outcomes. These experiences have shaped her approach: stay curious, communicate clearly, and consistently look for ways to add value beyond the product itself.
With a territory that spans across the United States, Tracy travels regularly to connect with developers and provide architects with CEU-accredited lunch and learns tailored to their state requirements. These conversations, paired with firsthand exposure to projects in different markets, have given her a unique perspective on the evolving pulse of the multifamily industry. This insight ultimately led Tracy to launch her LinkedIn newsletter, Magiglide Insights, where she shares observations, challenges, and trends from across the field.
As a woman in construction, Tracy is passionate about building strong relationships and creating a sense of connection within the industry. She believes that trust, responsiveness, and a willingness to listen go a long way in what can often be a fast-paced and demanding environment. Tracy is proud to be part of a field that is constantly evolving, and is committed to continuing to learn, grow, and contribute to projects that make a lasting impact on the communities they serve.
Tell us why you choose to be a member of PWC Chicago. I was speaking with Amy Mayer, who is active in the group, and whom mentioned to me that I should look into joining. It was the perfect piece of the puzzle that was missing for me, being solo most of the time in sales. The women are so inclusive and welcoming. It is a beautiful atmosphere.
What PWC Events do you enjoy attending? I really like the panel events, the member connects, and the annual winter social. I am excited to see the start of the Professional Development series as well!
Tell us about an accomplishment or milestone that you are proud of. I’m proud of growing my Magiglide Insights newsletter to over 1,000 subscribers through entirely organic engagement. Without direct outreach, I focused on sharing relevant, experience-driven insights for multifamily developers and architects. Reaching this milestone validated that the content resonates with the industry and has become a meaningful platform for connection and thought leadership.
Share an important lesson that you have learned during your career. One of the biggest lessons I have learned is to embrace discomfort. The opportunities that have had the greatest impact on my career came from stepping into the unknown and taking on those challenges that I wasn't fully prepared for. Those moments pushed me to grow faster, think more critically, and deliver much better results. Knowledge is power.
