Description
Whether you are new to construction or want to deepen your understanding of construction scheduling, this 90-minute hybrid session will give you tools to navigate and leverage a project schedule with confidence. This course will teach you how to think about developing a construction schedule, the mechanics of creating a schedule, and the definition of scheduling terms.
Carie Carney will lead this session with a slideshow presentation, take live notes on a whiteboard, and allow for participant questions & answers. After this course you will know the important pieces of a construction schedule, how it is developed & updated, and how it can be used to your advantage.
This course will cover:
- What a schedule means in relation to the project
- The process of creating a schedule
- Definition of key terms
- How to use the schedule, and how it can be used against you
Those new to the construction industry, or needing a deeper understanding of construction scheduling from the contractor or ownership perspective are encouraged to attend. This event is for PWC Chicago Members only, and attendees must be registered in order to participate.

About the Facilitator
Carie Carney, PE, CCM, LEED AP brings 40+ years of commercial project management experience, including serving as Scheduling Manager for O'Hare's International Terminal Project. She is a trusted educator who regularly teaches scheduling to industry audiences.
