Description

Are you often confused by dense legalese in construction contracts? Do you want more clarity on how to assess risks buried in boilerplate contract provisions, or determine what contract forms are best suited for your particular project’s delivery method?

 

Gain a working knowledge of the typical types of contracts you may encounter in your construction career. Whether you work on the contracting side of construction, interact with contracts regularly, or feel intimidated by the complexity of contracts, attend this session to gain familiarity with industry-standard construction contracts and the issues & commercial risks associated with commonly used legal provisions.

 

Richard Wilson of Fox Swibel Levin & Carroll LLP will present this introductory discussion on contracting of all types in the construction industry and the key legal provisions that routinely appear in these contracts. You’ll leave with a basic familiarity of construction contracts, as well as a deeper understanding of the risks and issues to address with your contracting counter-party. 


This is a beginner friendly course. No specific experience or previous knowledge is necessary. This event is for PWC Chicago Members only, and attendees must be registered in order to participate.
